Sheepscot Boating Rental Agreement

This Rental Agreement establishes the primary renter’s responsibility for rented equipment and related charges. It applies in addition to the Rental Eligibility & Safety Requirements and Liability Waiver.

Equipment Responsibility & Financial Terms

I am responsible for all rented equipment from the time it is issued to me until it is returned under Sheepscot Boating’s designated return procedure. I will examine the readily observable condition and completeness of the rented equipment before use and report any apparent damage, missing equipment, or other concerns before launching or otherwise using the equipment.

I agree to return all rented equipment at the agreed time and in the condition received, excluding normal wear. I am financially responsible for loss, theft, unreturned equipment, damage beyond normal wear, excessive cleaning, late-return fees, retrieval costs, and other charges properly due under this Rental Agreement.

Security Deposit

A $150 security deposit authorization per kayak may be placed on the payment method associated with the reservation. The security deposit serves as security for the renter’s obligations under this Rental Agreement and does not limit the renter’s financial responsibility.

Amounts due may be collected from the security deposit where permitted by the payment system or collected separately from the renter. Amounts exceeding the security deposit remain the renter’s responsibility.
